MR. J. M. SIMON, district manager at the Mile End Road depot of the Dunlop Rubber Co., Ltd., has been appointed sales manager of the West region at Bristol. He has succeeded MR. C. M. MEDLicorr, who has been appointed sales manager of the cycle and motorcycle equipment division at Fort Dunlop. MR. A. K. TOWNEND. manager of the commercial-vehicle division at Leeds, has retired after .40 years' service.

He Will remain a managing director of the Shell Transport and Trading Co., Ltd.. and a director of the Shell Petroleum Co., Ltd. MR.
H. WILKINSON, president of Canadian Shell, Ltd., will become a managing director of the Shell Petroleum Co., Ltd., and a principal director of N.V. Bataafsche Petroleum Maatschappij. MR. IAN DAVI-I/SON, while remaining a director, will resign the presidency of Compania Shell de Venezuela. Ltd. It is intended that he will become president of Canadian Shell. Ltd.. and that MR. Ci. C. K. DUNSTERVILLE Will succeed him as president of Compania Shell.
