ANATIONAL consultative committee to deal with fuel-rationing problems has been set up by the Ministry of Transport. It will meet at least once a week under the chairmanship of Sir George Stedman, of the Ministry.

Members represent the British Transport Commission, Road Haulage Association, Traders' Road Transport Association, National Conference of Road Transport Clearing Houses, the trade unions and coastal shipping.

Representatives of the Associations are also to have frequent meetings with the Regional Transport Commissioners, The committee held their first meeting yesterday. It was of an expIolatory nature.
