We're not sure: The R-series tractor catwalk area needs more attention. A proper separate rear grab handle should be a standard fia, and
the near-side valance step needs to be re-positioned further back in order to make it easier to climb up.
Our verdict: Scania's 13-litre EGR drivetrain will clearly appeal to fleets looking to avoid 'complications' with Euro-5. The latest range revisions ensure that the R-series is a formidable contender for satisfying the often diverse needs of drivers and fleet owners.
