Ethel. Austin jobs cut after collapse

MORE THAN 400 drivers and warehouse staff have been axed at fashion retailer Ethel Austin, after administrators closed the firm's Knowsley distribution centre in Merseyside on 10 February.

Ethel Austin and its sister homcware chain Au Naturale went into administration on 8 February, with administrator MCR announcing the closure of 129 stores The chains employ approximately 3,300 people.

MCR confirms Ethel Austin was also using subcontractors for its logistics operation, which are likely to be owed money.
