Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

have worked hard to establish and maintain my five-vehicle business. I pay my bills on time and hope I pay my staff a suitable wage.

Like many others I am questioning why I should continue in the industry when the profit I make (including my own wages) has fallen to less than I pay my staff. This is a situation that can only get worse as this Government continues with its theory of environmental control while we struggle with the practical side of transport.

Like many others, I do not wish to throw away past efforts and so went to the Gloucester RHA Truck Rally, protested at Parliament, wrote letters and had a blunt meeting with my MP.

On 24 February we shall have an opportunity to make our presence felt at Westminster. At the first rally there were some 300 protesters. This will be the last opportunity to show our feelings before the 9 March Budget. Please come to this rally. If you are unable to, perhaps someone could represent you. Wear your highvisibility jackets and vests—we need to be noticed.

The Stobart coach, full of protesters, would be most welcome: as would all coach operators, Any operator with a truck near London, route it past Westminster between lpm and 5pm. Own-account operators, get involved. Tell your MP you will see him on the 24th.

Remember: unless we make this a big issue now, many of us could be selling the Big ISM by next year.
