• Baby Spice is truck drivers' favourite Spice Girl, and pop music is their preferred in-cab music, according to a survey commissioned by Driver Hire, which blows the lid off truckers reputation as the bad boys of the road.
Home and family are at the forefront of two-thirds of drivers minds when they are behind the wheel. Only 10% day dream of supermodels and glamour girls. But one stereotype was
confirmed by the survey—
more than three-quarters of truckers tuck into a full English breakfast when they are out on the road. The French apparently can keep their continen tal coffee and croissants, which tempt only 7% of British drivers.
