• Isuzu has bought 20 ZF AS-Tronic semi-automatic gearboxes for fitting to the 600hp 6x4 version of its Giga Tractor. The 520hp, 4x2 version was seen at this year's Tokyo Show (below); the 600hp variant has a 30.4-litre naturally aspirated vee-10 diesel, putting out 1 ,5201bff (2,060Nm) of torque.. For the moment Iveco has an exclusive agreement to offer AS-Ironic in Europe and the electronically synchronised 1 6-speed gearbox has already been seen in the EuroStar 470 (CM 23-29 October).
