Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

by Toby Clark • Here is the first official picture of the new Mercedes-Benz middleweight—the Atego. Previously known by the codename LKN, the Atego will be launched at the RAI Show in Amsterdam in February, and will reach the UK for sales in June.

The new model joins the Actros heavyweight to complete Merc's latest line-up.

The new model takes over from the LN2 range, and will cover the weights from 6.5 to 15 tonnes. The chassis and cab are completely new designs, but much of the running gear has been seen before. Power comes from the chargecooled fourcylinder 0M904 Ecopower engine—the electronically controlled unit already introduced in the LN2—and the six-cylinder 0M906 variant.

Gearboxes for both models are likely to be the existing ZF five-speed and Mercedes sixspeed units.

The Atego will be sold as rigid and tipper chassis, and as a lightweight tractive unit, with wheelbase lengths from 3.0m to 6.3m.
