A NORBERT Dentressangle liveried trailer became detached from its cab on the M2 last week causing a two-mile tailback.

The errant trailer, carrying 27.5 tonnes of bottled water, blocked the London-bound carriageway at Junction 2 on Monday 8 August causing large queues.

No one was injured as a result of the decoupling.

Kent Police and the Highways Agency dealt with the incident – unloading the trailer before it was moved.

ND was unavailable for comment as CM went to press.
