An air compressor announced by Joy Manufacturing is named the Twistair and has a capacity of 105 Cu ft/min (2.9 cu m/min) .FAD at 100 psig (7kg/sq cm). Automatic stardelta starting control is provided with a selector switch to give the user the choice of constant speed or auto-stop-start operation at will, The compressor is capable of continuous operation at full delivery on a 24hr basis.

All the components, including motor, control, oil separator and so on are assembled on a steel base and occupy a floor space measuring 61in. x 33in. (1549mm x 838mm). Overall height is 36in. (914mm). An optional version of the machine, mounted on an air receiver, is available.
