A fully retracting twistlock with a screw adjustment that enables any type of corner fitting to be accommodated has been developed by J.C.G. (3 D's(, together with a fixed screw-down twistlock designed for gooseneck trailers. The company's Uplift retracting twistlock, designed for ISO containers, has been modified to give positive locking.

The twist bolt of the new fully retracting twistlock is secured within the casing and cannot be mislaid. Double locking is provided for the extra security that is required on the Continent. A constant dimension of less than Sin. between the top plate and adjusting handle is a feature of the screw-down twistlock. Triple locking is provided to meet German regulations and the twistlock is available with an adaptor set to enable it to be retracted.
