Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Signals to stop traffic on roads outside fire and ambulance stations, where there are special difficulties for emergency vehicles such as poor visibility and heavy or fast traffic flows, have been introduced by the DoE.

When the emergency vehicles are about to leave a five second amber signal will show. This is replaced by a red signal when all vehicles must stop. Warning signs will be sited in advance of the signals.

The first of these installations is on the London to Penzance road (A30) at Camberley, Surrey.
