Four weeks to Earls Court

• Every other year the commercial vehicle industry joins forces to present at Earls Court, London, the largest vehicle show of its kind in the world.

The 1972 International Commercial Motor Show, organized by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, will run for eight days from Friday September 22 to Saturday September 30 (not Sunday the 24th) and the products of over 350 exhibitors from every section of the cv industry will be on display — goods vehicles, buses, coaches, trailers, containers, accessories, components, tyres and special servicing equipment.

Some 23 British vehicle makers will be showing their new and up-dated models, together with 12 from overseas, including West Germany, Holland, Italy, Russia, Sweden and the USA.

With Britain on the eve of joining the Common Market the strength of imported vehicles on view will be greater than ever, and British manufacturers will, of course, be all out to show Europe what they have to export.

The 26th biennial Show will be far from static. A demonstration park will allow potential customers to drive trucks, tippers, coaches and many other vehicles. These test drives can be arranged with represen tatives on the relevant stands.

At the last Show, in 1970, 88,215 people from the UK attended, plus 2000 visitors from abroad.

Opening hours and admission The Show will be open daily from September 22-30 (except Sunday) from 10 am to 8 pm. Each day the entrance charge will be 50p before 4 pm and 30p thereafter. Telephone The telephone number of the Press office is 01-385 1234.

Overseas visitors Special facilities will be available for overseas visitors. These will include free admission and a badge to attract the attention of exhibitors. A lounge, with staff of the SMIVIT's overseas department and interpreters, will be provided.

Car park The car park, easily accessible from the West Brompton entrance, adjoins the exhibition building.
