Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

supply available in this country and would a plastics tank offer any advantage apart from a weight saving?

A As far as is known, plastics fuel tanks are ^ not produced commercially in this or any other country, but it is anticipated that they will be available in the not too distant future. According to reports of experimental applications in America they should have a longer useful life than metal tanks and be more resistant to shock stresses in addition to having a more favourable weight for a given capacity. No information has been obtainable regarding the type of plastics material suitable for fuel tanks, which would have to be proof against high-frequency vibrations.
