-El ASTERN LA Mr. W. P. S. Ormond has

suspended two vehicles belonging to Southern Shavings Supply Co. Ltd. for six weeks from August 13. The company appeared before the LA (CM, August 11) after receiving 20 GV9s in 18 months.

Southern Shavings operates eight vehicles and employs three mechanics. In addition to servicing and repairs the company intends to make provision for body repairs. Mr. W. T. Shields, its foreman fitter, told the LA that rough handling by the company's customers had caused much of the damage which resulted in the issue of the GV9s.

When the LA suggested that the record of GV9s was "alarming", the company's managing director, Mr. H. J. Hubbard, agreed. The two vehicles suspended are an eight-wheel rigid and an artic.
