,York Corporation has recently issued a report dealing with the passenger services which it maintains in the city. The accounts show that for the year ended March 31st last a profit of £710 was, made on the buses, whereas a loss of £132 was incurred on the tramcars and of £1,200 on the trolley-buses.

The income from metorbuses amounted to £7,745, the expenditure being £6,153. On the debit side of the accounts we note that maintenance and repairs absorbed £1,260, traffic expenses £2,406, general expenses £1,152 and fuel expenses £1,335.
