Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Dnoes anyone know why there such a mismatch in the industry between supply and demand for drivers?

On the one hand, we hear countless reports of firms going bust, which presumably frees experienced drivers up for other work, and on the other, tales of woe about the difficulties of recruiting suitable drivers. In a shrinking sector like haulage, surely there should be plenty of experienced drivers about chasing a dwindling number of jobs?
