Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I T is expected that the Commercial Motor Show at Earls Court will be . attended by a record number of visitors from overseas. The total attendance of the 1952 Show was lower than that in 1950, but, Mr. A. B. Waring, president of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, stated at a Press conference, last Week, this was no disappointment, because of the " quality " of the visitors.

This year's exhibition, it was hoped, would attract a record attendance. The number of visitors from overseas at the 1952 Show was double that of 1950 and the S.M.M.T. had made special publicity efforts abroad in advance of this year's event. The 1952 figure of about 1,300 overseas visitors is hoped to be exceeded.

This year's Show will have 437 exhibitors-17 more than in 1952. A total of 424 vehicles may be inspected. Thirty-eight vehicle manufacturers will have stands, 72 makers of trailers and bodywork, 229 companies in the sphere of accessories and components, 13 tyre manufacturers and 60 transport service equipment makers and factors.

The Show, beginning on September 24, will be open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. until October 2. Price of admission will be 2s. 6d. until 5 p.m. and. Is. afterwards.

An S.M.M.T. official told a representative of The Commercial Motor that the number of home visitors to this year's Show might be increased because of the return of free-enterprise hauliers to the field of Jong-distance road transport.

Mr. Waring referred to the technical advances made by British commercialvehicle manufacturers, particularly with regard to light oil engines, the reduction of chassis and body weight, auxiliary two-speed gearboxes, simplified driving controls, aud greater comfort.
