RATCLIFF'S first European-style tail lift, the REC 1500 cantilever lift, is now available in the UK. The company says it is easy to install and provides simple oneman loading or unloading at ground level or in loading docks, It has a 1,500kg (680 lb) capacity, or up to 3,000kg (1,360 lb) when locked in position for • loading by fork-lift truck via a loading bank.
Two platform depths — 1,200mm (47.3in) or 1,500mm (59.1in) — are available, and both have a non skid platform surface with fast-operated pallet chocks. A robust rear-end collision bar is also fitted as standard.
The lift is electro-hydraulically operated and because it is mounted to the rear chassis cross-member of a vehicle does not require side columns or overhead hydraulic system.
One of Ratcliff's most popular lifts in Europe is also now available in the UK. It is a double tier lift for the transport of livestock.
Originally developed as a pig lift, the platform can be used as a conventional lift or as a ramp for direct entry to first floor level.
Push-button controlled electro-hydraulic power provides easy loading and unloading, assisted by automatic closure.
A safety cage hinged to the platform is available as an optional extra.
