DRIVERS on Humberside have negotiated a £6 a week increase. They have also negotiated a further £1 increase in the existing £4 a night subsistence allowance. Under the Government's anti inflation policy subsistence payments can be improved outside the £6 limit as long as the increase only matches the inflationary rise since the allowance was last improved.
