1EDFORD confirmed this week hat it is considering taking Iver 'the Marshall midibus oroject.

A spokesman told CM: " Bedord is investigating the possilility of using the Marshall ntegral body as the basis of a ledford city-centre midibus." The Marshall midi had been tnder development for several 'ears. The rear-engined inagral city bus design featured iainly Leyland Terrier cornonents. This will now be ubject to re-engineering work y Bedford. The six-cylinder edford 330 engine would lift traight into 'the bus, enabling le Allison automatic gearbox nd Borg Warner drive used n the prototype to be retained. layton De wandre is now modifying the braking system to make it compatible with Bedford units.
