Elected deputy president of the Institute of Traffic Administration at its annual conference, in Hull, last weekend, was Jack Parker, who was a founder member of the Institute, and a vice-president. Mr Parker, who was until his retirement with Victory Transport Ltd, Portsmouth, is editor of the institute's journal.

He succeeds Len Harrison, formerly gm of Westbridgeford Transport Ltd, who has gone to Gambia to conduct a transport project on behalf of the Gambian Government.

The national chairman for 1975/76 is George Pickup, gm of Ipswich Borough Transport, who was elected to succeed Norman Mower, elected a Fellow of the Institute at the same meeting.
