Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

'FOR some time Millburn Motors Ltd., Millburn Street, Glasgow, N., has been successfully installing the Albion Chieftain E.N.286 oil engine in various types of chassis. The Chieftain 4.88-litre engine, a four-cylindered unit producing 75 b.h.p. at 2,000 r.p.m., has so far been fitted in Leyland, Thornycroft, and Bedford chassis. Maximum torque is 2,500 lb.-ins. at 1,200 r.p.m. The engine is a directinjection design with a bore of 108 mm. and a stroke of 133.4 mm.'

Coach operators, in particular, have been attracted by the possibilities of fitting the Albion engine in the Bedford SB coach, an example of which has been in operation by Lowland Motorways Ltd., Glasgow, for some time. Performance of the Bedford with the Albion engine is said to be satisfactory in every respect and a fuel-consumption rate of 20 m.p.g. is claimed.

Apart from the front engine mountings, no modification of the chassis is required. The price of a conversion unit, with all necessary items, is approximately £675 complete. The conversion is carried out by Millburn Motors Ltd., which also fits the engine in the Bedford 7-ton lorry. Further details may be obtained from the concern.
