Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

STOBART GROUP says it will be making more than 100 driver redundancies across three of its depots as it pursues a cost-cutting strategy.

Leeds will have 89 trampers’ jobs made redundant. The remaining job losses – all trampers – will be made at Goole in East Yorkshire and Barlbor ough in Derbyshire. The firm says the final total will be fewer than 200.

A Stobart statement says: “New systems have allowed us to iden tify areas to cut costs within the business, while still maintaining high levels of service to customers.” A spokesman says the three sites will remain open and that day and night driving positions are unaffected, but that those working away from home Monday to Friday are in the firing line.
