• Research by Simon Crisford for his MA marketing project, sponsored by Trace Systems, looks at the use of computerised fleet' management systems.
There are up to 9,000 fleets of more than 100 vehicles in the UK; of these Crisford found that fewer than 10% employ any form of computer control over their business. However the minority who do use these systems find that the investment pays for itself within months.
Trace Systems, specialists in computerised fleet management technology, covered Crisford's research costs, including a postal questionnaire to 880 fleet operators..
