Consolidates the much amended Vehicles (Excise) Act 1971. No new requirements.
SI No 298 Quick Frozen Foodstuffs (Amendment) Regulation 1994 cif 1 September 1994.
Implements EC Directives 92/1 and 92/2 on the monitoring of temperatures of quickfrozen foods during transport, warehousing, and storage. Also covers sampling procedures, methods of analysis and keeping of records.
SI No 1911 The Road Vehicles (Registration and Licensing) (Amendment) (No2) Regulations 1994—cif 31 August 1994. Extends the issue of trade licences to businesses modifying vehicles at any time and valeting them prior to sale, whereas previously they had only been issued for such activities prior to registration. Also allows vehicles used to travel to or from the place of collection of a vehicle to be carried in that vehicle.
SI No 2136 The Motor Vehicles (Tests)(Amendment) Regulations 1994—cif 5 September 1994. Fees for MOT tests increased.
SI No 2280 The Road Vehicles Lighting_ (Amendment) Regulations 1994—cif 1 October 1994/1 April 1995, Allows the display of warning signs on the Front and rear of buses carrying children to and from school, and requires such fitment from 1 April 1995. The sign incorporates silhouettes of two children on a yellow reflective background. Also requires new style rear reflective markings to be fitted to goods vehicles first used on or after 1 April 1996 and trailers manufactured on of after 1 October 1995, and allows optional fitment to "existing" vehicles.
