eader Ross Mauro of Littlehampton, West Sussex has sent the Hawk this exciting picture of a group of passengers who are apparently Fighting over some dropped change on the top deck of a veteran 1920 South down bus.

In fact, the scene is rather more peaceful than is revealed without the aid of hi-tech picture enhancement.

The "passengers" are visitors to e Amberley Chalk

Pits Museum. For technical buffs, Ross took the snap with a disposable Fuji camera given away in a CM promotion. A regular CM reader since 1946, he probably remembers a time when there were more buses in the magazine and claims to have attended every commercial vehicle show at Earls Court and Birmingham's NEC. I'm sure our paths must have crossed, unknowingly, on many an occasion.
