• Asda has taken delivery of 176 Scania tractive units. The P113 4x2 320s are supplied on contract hire from Scania Contracts. All models are equipped with sleeper cabs, rear air suspension and air management kits and most of the 3.6m wheelbase units will be plated at 32.5 tonnes GCVV.
• Brigade Electronics has launched the Backscan RIOS reversing aid. Sensors at the rear of the vehicle detect obstacles 0.2-3.0m away. The system triggers a warning bleep in the cab and displays the distance. Brigade Electronics is on 0181 852 3261.
• TF group has developed the Europa undermount fridge unit for 33 pallet semi-trailers. One of a range of diesel/electric units with slim multi-fan evaporators, it will also serve rigids down to 7.5 tonnes.
