Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Ai Three LGV drivers were blockaded into a construction site for eight hours as a buyer and supplier of specialist cladding wrangled over payment for materials already delivered.

The three lorries were contracted through Liverpool-based Sinclair Express by Skelmersdale, Lancs-based Art Metal Engineering, the supplier, to collect a quantity of the disputed cladding from a Norwich building site. As the lorries attempted to leave, their exit was blocked.

The police were called but, according to Inspector Duncan Morris who was present, their role was purely to keep the peace. As both party's legal representatives argued over the load, Judge Bloomfield agreed to hear the case the following day if the status quo was maintained until then.

The trailers were kept at the site overnight under indepen. dent security guard in anticipation of the court hearing, but following the intervention of the site manager AlvlEC, agreement was reached.

One of the lorries involved belonged to Melton Constable, Norfolk-based NJE & PA Jolley which estimates that it lost about £600, but Sinclair Express, which subcontracted to Jolley, said that it was willing to pay reasonable costs.
