• Operators of commercial vehicles fitted with lifting equipment will have to comply to stricter safety legislation From 1 January next year. The Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 1992 state that any new tail-lift Fitted must have gone through a detailed safety analysis by the manufacturer and show a mark to prove it.
The two-year phasing-in period runs out at the start of next year.
