Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

past week's hot topes of discussion among members of the UK's leading internet forum for professional drivers.

SO TRUCKFEST IS over, and the members of TruckNet UK have somewhat recovered from the merriment of the show. The joint Truck & Driver/TruckNer UK stand was well frequented by TruckNet UK members, and many of this week's posts on the website have commented on the trucks and the people that were present at Peterborough.

But all was not sunshine at the show. One topic ("A disgrace to the industry") covers the alleged poor behaviour of a tiny minority of drivers at the show, telling why a small number were ejected early Monday morning.

Apart from the Peterborough extravaganza, topics have covered the usual wide range of subjects. Sexual discrimination rears its head, with the proposal for women to be trained as LGV drivers at taxpayers' expense. Many drivers of both genders are struggling to understand why this is needed, and the message seems to be that drivers both male and female need to be encouraged into the profession.

With the Far Eastern manufacturers preparing for an assault on the UK heavy truck market, drivers have been examining the offerings from Hino, in particular the sleeper cab. I think a fair comment would be to say the drivers feel that Hine has a little more design work to do on the interior to satisfy the UK driver population.

Drivers in the Euro Driving forum are attempting to list those larger companies that still regularly run abroad... the list is depressingly short.

Finally, an owner-driver asks if anyone else has had problems trying to get a truck on contract-hire/operating lease after being told by his local dealer that they will not consider sole traders, only limited companies
