Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

WHILE BUTTER Mountains, wine lakes, Green Ponds and sheep seem to create perennial dispute between the Nine of Europe, the motor industry across the EEC countries seems to have a better relationship. Or does it?

The questions posed by Britain's membership of the Common Market, as far as the motor industry is concerned, will be discussed at a seminar organised by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders at the Cafe Royal, London, on May 20.

Speakers will cover the historic background to the EEC, the opportunities it presents to the vehicle manufacturing industry, its legal effects in relation to customer interests and market competition, the technical requirements, the effect of European parliamentary affairs on the vehicle manufacturing industry and ways of feeding into the EEC information which may affect policy.

The positive response to the seminar has led the SMMT to open it to a wider participation, and it will be possible to include delegates who are not members of SMMT member companies.
