WE ARE firm believers in the value of the rear view mirror aa a means of overcoming the difficulty experienced by drivers of colnmercial umfor vehicles and motor coaches in knowing when the driver of It faster vehicle desires to overtake.

We offer a Dependence rear-view mirror as a prize to the driver in each of the following_classes who sends us a short accountb accompanied by a. rough sketch of diagram (which we will have redrawn for reproduction} of the best temporary repair or expedient for overcoming a roadside difficulty, or means for getting back to garage with a minimum of expense and with least loss of time, that has happened to him, or is so well within his knowledge that he can vouch for the facts. The classes are Class 1.—Underty-pe steamers.

Class 2.—Overtype steamers.

Class 3.—Petrol vehicles over 3 tons.. Class 4.—Petrol vehicles, 3 tons and under.

Class 5.—Electrical vehicles.

The matter should he written on one side of the paper, and, with the sketch or diagram, beaddressed to the Editor, The, Commercial Motor, 7-15, Rosehery Avenue, London,^:E.C., to !reach that address by Salurday, May 28th next.

The competitor should state in which class he wishes to enter, and should give the name and.address of his employer. The Editor's decision will he final_ Should there be no useful or interesting entry in any class, the prize offered for that class will be awarded toone of the runners-up in one of the other classes.

The Editor reserves the right to use and to pay for any contribution received in this competition.
