PALL-EX HAS mysteriously cancelled its charity Royal Spring Ball.
HRH The Princess Royal was due to attend the event, which raises money for the transport industry's charity,Transaid. Pall-Ex has previously raised over £45,000.
Tickets for the ball, scheduled for Tuesday 12 April at London's InterContinental hotel, were still being advertisedlast week;Pall-Ex says it is cancelled for"operational reasons".
One source says people were reluctant to pay the £145 per person or £1,250 per table fee, but the PR firm blames security issues.
