DEREK POTTS has been appointed north area marketing manager with Greater Manchester Transport.
Mr Potts started work in transport in 1973 as express services assistant for National Travel. In 1976 he moved to Lancashire United Transport as a bus conductor. He then became a GMT traffic clerk. He is currently senior schedules officer at GMT's Devonshire Street head office.
