Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

SEVERAL modifications have recently been made to the Croft threewheeler. The most important of these is the use of a J.A.P. four-stroke engine, instead of the two-stroke unit previously employed.

The new engine has a capacity of 600 c.c. with a nominal rating of 6 h.p, although it is said to develop 16 b.h.p. It has side-by-side valves, an Amal carburetter, and Lucas 6-volt electrical equipment, which includes coil ignition. Lubrication is effected by an adjustable mechanical pump, which forces oil to the main and big-end bearings.

The engine is mounted horizontally under the driver's seat, and its water jacket is connected to a large tank im mediately above it, so that cooling is,in effect, on the hopper principle, previously employed. The Midland distributor, Tricroft Motors, Ltd., 170, High Street, Dentend, Birmingham, is specializing in a series of bodies of its own design. These include two types of van, a builder's truck and a dairyman's vehicle, but the concern is in a position to produce special bodies. Of the vans, the more interesting is one provided with doors to the cab, and having special all-,weather equipment. Its total loading space exceeds 70 cubic ft. and, in addition to the van doors at the front end, there are doors behind the front wheels.

The builder's truck is provided with a special attachment for carrying 18-ft. ladders.

The most elaborate of the dairyman's van bodies has cloorsVto the driver's cab, and is specially equipped to carry 280 pint bottles, as well as two 12-gallon churns; it also has accommodation for eggs, butter, cream and cheese. This model, like the van, has doors at the front and at the sides.

Model B resembles it, but has no doors, the racks being left open, and model 0 has neither doors nor top to its body. Prices of these various machines range from 192 10s. for the builder's truck to £99 10s. for the model A dairyman's van.
