SUGGESTIONS by the chief constable for dealing with the traffic problem of Peterborough include a proposal for the establishment of a central bus station in Bridge Street, similar to the premises at Grantham. Incidentally, Mr. J. H. Stirk, chairman of the East Midland Traffic Commissioners, regards the Grantham station as a model of its kind.
The chief constable recommended that a fee of id. should be charged for each bus departing from the proposed station at Peterborough.
