IN A SIGNAL OF ITS confidence in the future of electric CVs, Smith Electric Vehicles is introducing the first apprenticeships dedicated to the type. In the first year, 16 places will be available on the programme, run in partnership with Gateshead College. Candidates must have at least four GCSEs, including maths, English and a science subject, and undergo psychometric testing. At the conclusion of the four years, they will have Level 3 NVQ and City and Guilds qualifications and the option to continue studying towards a Foundation Degree.
