Crane Fruehauf Trailers director Bob Osborne has been awarded the Queen's Silver Jubilee Medal for meritorious service to the British trailer industry.
From the shop floor, Mr Osborne rose to a seat on the board. He joined the company at Derham 25 years ago as a machinist, becoming works superintendent in 1965 and production manager in 1967.
In 1975 he was appointed Derham divisional manager of both the Toftwood tanker plant and South Green trailer factory, and last year he joined the board of Crane Fruehauf Trailers Limited as a director.
