Earlier this year the committee wrote to county engineer, Ronald Williams, listing sites where it was felt signposting was unsatisfactory. Mr Williams had now written to the Chamber stating that the County would fully investigate all the instances listed and take remedial action where necessary.

In his letter, Mr Williams pointed out that improvements in the motorway network in the area necessitated modifications to the existing signposting. It was not always possible to provide the new signs to coincide perfectly with the introduction of a new access point.
