Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

HAULIERS whose businesses have been taken over by the British Transport Commission, are beginning to demand that the Minister of Transport should speedily make an Order setting out the terms of personal compensation for loss of office, under Section 101 of the Transport Act, 1947.

There are several cases on record in which hauliers' businesses were taken over sonic months ago and although the principals • have not been offered posts with the Road Transport Executive, they have received no compensation for loss of office.

In one instance, the business of a blind man was acquired in November of last year and the British Transport Commission stated that it could not • employ him. Despite repeated attempts by the operator and his adviser to obtain compensation, and requests that the matter should be dealt with as a case of urgency, he has still received no compensation for loss of office. In each case the reply has been that the Minister's Order is still awaited.
