Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

NET SALES by Volvo rose in the first quarter of this year from £523.7m last year to £1,358.7m.

Commercial vehicle sales rose from £197m to £265m, with lorry sales rising within that figure from £136m to £202m.

And, Saab Scania sales in the first four months of this year rose by 20 per cent from £446.4m in the same period of 1981 to £533.5m, with Scania sales rising by 15 per cent from £196.2m to £226m.

The company says that the new lorry range has been well received in several markets, and that increased market shares are being achieved, but economic and political instability in South America has had a bad effect on the Scania subsidiaries there.
