• Three papers are to be presented at the Municipal Passenger Transport Association annual conference at Eastbourne next month. On Wednesday afternoon, August 26, Dr Tony M. Ridley, director-general of Tyneside PTE, will present a paper entitled "The Passenger Transport Executives—will they make any difference?"
The following morning Mr T. L. Beagley, Under-Secretary, Ministry of Transport, wi introduce a discussion on "Bu demonstration projects". This will followed by a discussion "The Transpoi Act 1968—drivers' hours regulations' introduced by Mr R. II. Jones, traffi superintendent, Cardiff City Transport an Mr D. R. Smith, deputy general manage: Leicester City Transport.
