• Drivers engaged in the carriage of animals are to be allowed the same hours concessions_ as have already been provided for agriculture generally at harvest times. This was announced by the Minister of Transport on Wednesday, and regulations will shortly be laid which will permit livestock vehicle drivers a maximum daily spreadover of 14 hours, a 66-hour working week and flexibility in the choice of the weekly rest day.
