Lister has been appointed. to Plymouth, where he will manage Mobil's dual industrial and retail branch in the West Country. He also becomes a director and general manager of Western Petroleum Products Ltd. He will be succeeded in London by Mr. H. J. Morgan, at present manager of Midland retail division. Mr. C. B. Cottemll, retail administrative manager in London, becomes manager, Midland retail division in Birmingham, and Mr. I. M. Forbes becomes retail administrative manager in London.

Mr. J. E. Moxon has been appointed assistant managing director of Parsons Chain Co. Ltd. and British Wire Products Ltd. Mr. C. H. Lucke and Mr. E.. C. Mabbs have been appointed directors of both companies. Mr. A. C. make has been appointed a director and Mr. F. E. Madden a special director, of British Wire Products Ltd. and Mr. G. B. Penn a special director of Parsons Chain Co. Ltd.

Mr. Vernon Kirby has been appointed sales director of Tewel Industries Ltd. of Blackburn. Mr. J. F. Wood, director and general manager of United Welsh Services Ltd., has been appointed to similar positions with United Counties Omnibus Co. Ltd., with effect from September 1 next, in succession to Mr. J. T. E. Robinson.

Bratain-Jones, chief supply executive to the group and a director of Humber Ltd., and Mr. Douglas Horton, group service manager—retired at the end of June, Mr. A. P. Goddard, general manager of Austin Crompton Parkinson Electric Vehicles Ltd., has assumed special responsibitities in connection with the company's business. He remains an associate director. Mr. A. S. Duncan has been appointed general manager of the company. Mr. Goddard has been with the company for 20 years and Mr. Duncan for 24 years.

Mr. J. D. Marshall has been appointed representative for Crane Fruehauf Trailers Ltd., covering Northumberland, Durham, North Yorkshire, Cumberland and Westmorland.

Mr. Ralph C. Gulliver has been appointed district manager, commercial and industrial trade, for the north distr:ct of the National Benzoic Company's north-eastern division.

Mr. George Colson has been appointed to the board of Small and Parkes Ltd., manufacturers of Don and Capasco friction materials, as home sales director.

Mr. P. F. Eisler has been appointed marketing director of J. C. Bamford (North West Europe). Mr. Eisler's appointment comes six months after he joined J. C. Bamford (Excavators) Ltd. as export marketing manager.

Obituary

WE regret to record the death of Mr. J. Reid.

Mr. Reid, who was secretary of the Transport Users' Consultative Committee for Scotland, died recently in hospital. He had more than 50 years' service with the railways. In 1949, when the committee was set up in Scotland, Mr. Reid was seconded from British Railways to serve as secretary.
