Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE progress which is being made in the development of six-cylinder chassis for goods transport work is 'exemplified by the new range of Graham Brothers chassis announced a few days ago by Dodge Brothers, Inc., of U.S.A. The capacities vary from 10 cwt. to 2 tons. There are four-wheel brakes of the internal-expanding pattern on all and four forward speeds except on the 10-cwt. and 15-cwt. chassis ; also, to allow the use of a larger body, the wheelbases have been increased.

So far as prices in America are concerned, all with the exception of that of the 2-tanner have been increased somewhat, but it is claimed that this is more than offset by the additional advantages obtained, such as greater

flexibility, increased load capacity, the Possibility of obtaining higher road speeds without a corresponding increase in danger and smoother running in general.

The power units of the 10-cwt., 15-cwt., 25-cwt. and 30-cwt. models are Practically interchangeable. It is only in the 10-cwt. model that there is a slight difference, and this is in respect of the front-end mounting employed for the unit.

The engine has been developed from that employed in the Dodge Victory Six private car, but some modifications have been made in the cooling system, and, except in the 10-cwt. model, a new water-outlet connection embodying a thermostat is provided; alzo, a watn.

thermometer is connected to an indicating instrument on the dash. Further, to control the temperature of the cooling water, an adjustable radiator shutter is provided in each case, and the fans have been increased in diameter.

The bore and stroke of the engine it the 10-cwt. to 30-cwt. models are n ins. and 3-74. ins. respectively. Features are a 2i-in. diameter sevenbearing crankshaft, machined all over, machined combustion chambers and Invar-strut alumiliium-allo; pistons, each with four rings. Air cleaners and oil filters are standard on all models. The 30-cwt. and 2-ton types are also equipped with governors to regulate the engine speed
