New European Commission oposals to update the drirs' hours rules have been immed by operators for moving their flexibility.

Under the proposed changes drivers will be required to ke a 30-minute break after roe hours' driving, with a daily st period of 12 hours. The 36lur weekly rest provision will removed.

The DoT has published a insultation document on the ianges, which are intended to clarify and simplify the existing legislation to make it easier to understand and enforce, and to update and remove outdated exemptions.
