ATRAILER carrying three different shipments for Dutch concerns was sent to Holland, last week, by Continental Ferry Trailers, Ltd. It is believed that this was the first trailer ever to make the crossing with a group consignment. The 144-ton load was carried on a Dutch low-loader, which had previously delivered to Purfleet.

The goods were collected • from' Coventry and Midhurst (Sussex) for delivery to Rotterdam, Utrecht and Enschede, and were hauled to the docks by an Atkinson 6LW tractor.

Continental Ferry Trailers were formed by I. Leftley, Ltd., to take over all their ferry work, and started operations on January 1.
