The vehicle was recently involved in a collision and underwent eight weeks of extensive repairs. Norman, based in Bognor Regis, West Sussex, had to fight the insurance company to get the work done—they wanted to write off his pride and joy. Norman bought the Albion new and custom bodied from Sparshatts of Porstmouth. To Norman's delight it featured in a CM advertising supplement; he has been a regular CM reader since 1959. The vehicle cost £5,500 new and the recent repairs will cost rather more than that; Norman has travelled the country in search of parts. Now he aims to keep the Albion roadgoing till his retirement and then donate it to a museum. Neither the lorry nor Norman sound ready for that sedentary fate just yet; long may they run.
