this week, selling a 1635S Powerliner 38-tonne tractor unit to Norman Bolton of Wigan. It is now 14 years since DaimlerBenz AG of West Germany established a direct subsidiary in this country, mainly because at that time Britain had just become a member of the EEC and, more importantly, had become the biggest truck market in Europe.
